MKS x Blue Lug x Analog cerakote madness.  The MKS XC III pedals' rep has endured the test of time, firmly rooted in their unparalleled OG'ness. The XC Pro pedal, pioneered by Suntour in the early 80s, swiftly became a beloved choice for both pre-clipless MTB enthusiasts and vert ramp BMX riders. Renowned for their durability, lightweight construction, and (good for the time) grip, these pedals established the gold standard in their domain for an entire decade.

Although Suntour met its demise in the early 90s, MKS, the manufacturer behind the original pedals for Suntour, persevered. In a hot dog collabo with Blue Lug, the quintessential embodiment of the alternative bike culture in Japan, MKS painstakingly resurrected the timeless design of these pedals, faithfully preserving their essence.

While they may not possess the same level of grip or width as, let's say, the Deity Black Kat, they still offer ample traction for gravel roads, commuting, road riding, and similar endeavors. In fact, one might even contemplate conquering downhill races with these pedals, if we were to transport ourselves back to an era when launching off vert ramps with them was a commonplace feat. However, we personally recommend them for less extreme pursuits, as they excel magnificently in such scenarios. As expected from MKS, these pedals boast meticulous sealing, hassle-free maintenance, and a refined yet utilitarian aesthetic. Crafted with utmost precision in the land of the rising sun – Japan, of course.
